Getting it to you

Everything ships from our Dhaka stockroom. The cut-off is 4pm. An order confirmed before 4pm on a working day leaves the same day. After 4pm it leaves the next morning.

What it costs, when it lands

Charges are per order, not per item. Working days exclude Friday and government holidays.

Inside Dhaka, over ৳3,000

Add ৳100 once per order. Every courier we use calls that oversize. Waived when delivery is free.

The same items outside Dhaka

Delivery charge stated on the confirmation call, paid in cash on delivery. 4 to 8 working days.

Inside Dhaka

Our own riders cover the city: Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, Bashundhara, Uttara, Mirpur, Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi, Motijheel, Old Dhaka. They call from downstairs. Under ৳3,000 the charge is ৳80 flat, whether you are two streets from the stockroom or in Uttara Sector 13.

Savar, Ashulia and Keraniganj are next day at the Inside Dhaka rate. Narayanganj and Gazipur are next day at the flat outside-Dhaka rate of ৳150. We do not offer same-day out there and we will not pretend otherwise at checkout.

Same day is a promise about our bench. It is not a promise about the Ashulia road.

Two things hold an order back on purpose, both at the bench. A bat sent for knocking-in gets six hours with the mallet across two working days and ships on the third. A racket strung to your tension goes out the same day if the order is in before 2pm, next day after that. Nothing leaves half finished to catch a courier pickup.

The rest of the country

Parcels go by Steadfast and Sundarban. Anything long or over 20 kg goes by SA Paribahan. Divisional cities are 2 to 3 working days, district and upazila addresses 3 to 4. The last leg is often a local van and a phone call, so a number that actually answers matters more than a precise address.

Feather and the cold room

Feather shuttles leave in the same insulated box they sit in at the back of the shop, with a gel pack from May to September, and they go on the earliest dispatch so they spend one night on the road instead of two. Between June and August we will not send feather to an address that is three days out. If yours is, we will tell you before we confirm the order and offer nylon at the difference.

What cannot go by air

CO2 cartridges, air pistol cylinders and pressurised grip spray travel by road only. No air courier in the country will carry them. That adds a day to Sylhet, Cox's Bazar and the hill districts, and there is no way to buy the day back.

Cash on delivery

Cash on delivery is the only way to pay, in all 64 districts. The rider or the courier agent takes the money at the door. Four conditions, applied the same way in every district.

• There is no cap on the order value. Every order is confirmed by phone first, and it lapses if we cannot reach you within 2 working days. Nothing ships before that call.
• Anything cut, strung or worked to your order is made once the order is confirmed: a knocked-in bat, a racket at a named tension, a printed jersey, a grip cut to length. You pay the rider in cash like any other order, and it cannot be returned.
• Open the carton in front of the rider inside Dhaka and check it there. Once he has driven off it becomes a return under the 7-day rules, not a refusal.
• Two refused COD parcels from the same phone number and we confirm the next order from that number at the order desk before it ships. A refusal costs us the courier fee in both directions.

Heavy goods

Treadmills, multi-gyms, exercise bikes, table tennis tables and carrom boards do not go by courier. Inside Dhaka they come on our own van with two men, on a slot you agree by phone. ৳1,000, 3 to 5 working days. They carry it up, assemble it, level it, run it for ten minutes and take the packaging away with them.

Measure your lift before you order a treadmill. We have carried three back down.

A folded treadmill carton is 175 by 80 by 40 cm and will not fit most flat lifts in Dhaka. A nine-foot table tennis table arrives as two half-tops and will. Above the third floor with no working lift there is a ৳500 charge per floor, because at that point a man is carrying 120 kg of steel up a stairwell.

Outside Dhaka these go as road freight, usually SA Paribahan or Shohagh cargo. We tell you the delivery charge on the confirmation call, before anything leaves, and you pay it in cash on delivery with the rest of the order. 4 to 8 working days. No assembly outside Dhaka, so budget for a local mistri on a multi-gym. Carrom boards go out in a wooden crate for ৳600. Plywood on a bus roof warps, and a warped board is finished.

When nobody is home

The rider calls before he arrives. If the phone goes unanswered he waits ten minutes and calls again.

• Inside Dhaka, the second attempt is the next working day and it is free. A third attempt is ৳80.
• Outside Dhaka, the courier holds the parcel at its local point for 48 hours and calls twice. Collect it there or ask them to redeliver.
• Leaving it with a guard or a neighbour is fine, but say so in the order note. We will not do it unasked, and once it is handed over the order counts as delivered.
• Uncollected parcels come back to our stockroom. We hold them for 7 days and call you. After that the order goes back on the shelf. Nothing was paid, so nothing is refunded.

Friday, and the days around Eid

Friday is not a dispatch day. No courier in this country picks up on Friday and our bench does not run. An order placed Thursday after 4pm leaves Saturday morning. Saturday is a full working day here, and so is Sunday.

The order desk keeps shorter Friday hours; the Contact page lists them. Government holidays stop dispatch as well, and Eid stops it for longer than the calendar suggests. Couriers stop collecting two days before Eid and take three or four days to start moving again. We post the exact dates on this page a week ahead. Order early or wait.

If the carton is damaged

Photograph the box before you open it, then photograph what is inside, and send both on WhatsApp to 01518 990333 within 24 hours. A courier claim without a picture of the outside of the box goes nowhere, and we have to file it, not you. Bat toes and racket frames take almost all the transit damage we see. A frame cracked on the road is replaced, not repaired, and we deal with the courier ourselves.
