Shae Carson was named Performance Dietitian at Washington State University in April of 2020. Carson joins WSU after spending two years at the University of Wyoming, serving as the Director of Sports Nutrition for Football. During her time at Wyoming she coordinate catering for all team meals and snacks, conducted weekly team talks on various nutrition topics, and ensured adequate fueling for student-athletes at training table, practices and games. Shae began at the University of Wyoming, originally at the Director of Sports Nutrition for Olympic sports as well. Prior to Wyoming, Carson was a performance dietitian graduate assistant from 2016-18 at the University of Kentucky. She saw a number of responsibilities which included working collaboratively with both Sports Medicine and Strength and Conditioning to optimize the care and performance of student-athletes. A graduate of Portland State University with degrees in both general studies, and health sciences, she then earned a bachelors of science degree in food and nutrition, dietetics option as well. Carson then concluded her current education with a master of nutritional sciences degree in sports and wellness at the University of Kentucky.
