Biography 2022-23 (Senior): Placed 15th at IRA Championships rowing with the varsity eight boat. 2021-22 (Junior): Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All Big Ten. Rowed with the second varsity eight. 2020-21 (Sophomore) : Rowed six seat with second varsity eight and took first place at Marietta College (April 3) 2019-2020 (Freshman): Rowed three seat in novice 8B and took first place at Bald Eagle Invitational (Nov. 2) High School: Played basketball for four years ... played football for three years ... played rugby for four years ... played volleyball for one year Personal: Parents are Rhona Schmidt and Jason Schmidt ... father is a labor relations manager and mother is a technology licensing lawyer ... has three siblings Callum Logan and Keira... major is biology Reason for choosing UW-Madison: Academics distance from home school culture What Wisconsin Rowing means to Jack: Wisconsin rowing is a way to better myself and make strong connections with others.
